Working with a new medium like ceramics represents an opportunity for me to explore a new type of materiality and a new approach to art and image. The concreteness of the object imposes a different approach compared to the twodimensionality of the sheet of paper and offers the possibility of extending the lines in the curves and across the internal and external surface of the object. Images are inspired by the linear figures of primitive art, by the depictions of animals and propitiatory symbols of the first civilizations. Another source of inspiration is the traditional Mediterranean and North African heritage with a glimpse of surrealist art in an imaginary dialogue between tradition and modernity. This collaboration was a precious opportunity to experiment and play with new textures and new materials and to move within the boundary between art and design, an increasingly blurred and undefined boundary.
